Apple Crisp

Servings: 8 Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins



8 Cameo apples, peeled, cored and sliced

2 Tbsp. lemon or orange juice

1 tsp. lemon zest

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/8 tsp. nutmeg


150g plain flour

200g. quick-cooking oats

1/2 c. sugar

120g.  soft brown sugar

120g. chopped pecans

100g dried cranberries or cherries

1/8 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

180g chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. For filling: Place ingredients in large bowl; toss to combine.
  3. For topping: Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Cut in butter (using pastry cutter or two knives) and rub together until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
  4. Spread apple mixture into 9×13-inch baking dish; cover apples evenly with topping. Bake 40 min. or until apples are tender and topping is golden. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
