Cameo Valentines Fondue
2 tbsp cornflour
125ml white wine
200g Gruyere cheese, grated
4 Cameo apples
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- In a saucepan, melt the butter until a liquid and add the cornflour. Quickly whisk, cooking for 1 minute. Whisk in the white wine and cook for a further minute. Stir in the milk and heat until warm, then add the cheese. Whisk on a medium heat for 2 minutes, until thick.
- Core and slice the apples and dress with the lemon zest and juice, then season with the black pepper.
- Transfer the cheese mixture into a pot and place on a plate. Surround with the apples and serve with cocktail sticks for skewers.
